Riveredge is becoming more than a nature center. We still have 10,000 students from 100 schools throughout Southeastern Wisconsin visit us every year, along with the research and preservation work of our 379 acre sanctuary.

But now, with the Naturalist-in-Residence program, students in West Bend are exploring the creeks by their schools.  And this fall, the program launches in Cedarburg.

Now, families are exploring the eco-systems of neighborhood parks with Family Nature Clubs sponsored by Riveredge.

Now, the Riveredge Adventure Program entices kids (and parents) away from their digital devices to go recreational tree climbing or kayaking or canoeing with Riveredge educators.

With your support, we are reaching beyond our 379-acres to meet people where they are—we are bringing the great outdoors to families, schools, and neighborhoods.

This is the Big Riveredge Idea.

The generous gits of our supporters are what make these programs possible. Together, we are pioneering a new way to connect children, families, and adults with the natural world.

  • Because being outside increases creativity, mental clarity, and academic achievement.
  • Because being outside makes us all happier.
  • Because being outside is a reminder that everything is connected to everything.

If you believe in this big Riveredge idea and the power of nature to heal and excite us all year-round, perhaps you'll consider becoming a member of our brand new Great Outdoors Club, open to anyone who commits to donating at least $10 per month.

As a member of the Great Outdoors Club you’ll feel great that you are a critical part of sustaining a piece of wild Wisconsin that has been changing lives for almost 50 years. You’ll become a leader in the movement to bring the great outdoors to families, schools, and neighborhoods.  And, to show our appreciation of your partnership with us, our Great Outdoors Club members also receive very special thank you gifts.  You’ll be invited to quarterly outdoor adventures and receive a Riveredge bumper sticker, both only available to Great Outdoors Club members.

The process of becoming a Great Outdoors Club member is easy. 1) Enter in your preferred monthly contribution in the donation box above (any monthly amount of $10 or more will get you access!) 2) Check the circle that says monthly 3) Hit Donate Now. 4) Fill in the required donor info, and you’re all set to go!

No matter what you can afford to contribute to the cause, it is extremely appreciated. We don’t do our work alone. We do it with friends like you.

Thanks for all that you do for Riveredge and the great outdoors.
